Up for Sale is the the nine hundredth sixty seventh Selmer saxophone made in Paris France. Selmer saxophones started at #750 in 1922. This Selmer Paris Modele 22 Alto Saxophone is #1726 (1923), with original gold plate, and the added value of a rare unique side Bb mechanism. The sax has a fresh mechanical overhaul by a master artisian well known for his attention to detail and superb quality. The instrument has all new high quality springs, corks, felts, and air tight pads. With the lightest of touch and a whisper of breath the sound won’t break from the lowest note up. The key action is tight, mechanically quiet, and smooth. All body, neck, and key parts are original and in great working condition. All finger pearls, and key rollers are original and in great working condition. Gold plating is original and in excellent condition. There is little wear on the instrument.
